I am a passionate leader and lifelong learner with a strong academic foundation and over two decades of professional experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Purdue University, a Master’s in Plant Pathology from the University of Minnesota, and a Master’s in Business Intelligence & Analytics from Saint Joseph’s University. These academic achievements have equipped me with the skills to understand complex systems, solve problems, and drive meaningful insights. My educational journey underscores my commitment to growth and innovation, ensuring that I stay ahead in a rapidly evolving world.
In my professional life, I serve as the Director of CAS IP Services, where I lead a global team of scientist-professionals and business development experts. Together, we provide intellectual property, data, and analytics consulting to industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, agriculture, and chemicals. With over 20 years of experience, I have honed my expertise in operations, strategy, and client-focused solutions. I take pride in fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation to deliver impactful insights and empower our clients’ success.
Camas has been my home for the past 23 years. My wife, Laura, and I have been blessed to raise our four children here, all of whom have attended Camas schools including Dorothy Fox Elementary, Liberty, Skyridge, and Odyssey Middle Schools, as well as Camas High School, Discovery High School, Camas Connect Academy, Cascadia Tech, and Running Start. This deep connection to our community has shaped my commitment to education and advocacy, inspiring me to work tirelessly for the success of Camas students and families.
In addition to my professional career, I am deeply committed to giving back through volunteerism and community service. Since 2024, I have proudly served as a School Director, bringing my passion for education and advocacy to our district. I also contribute over 15 years of expertise and leadership across various organizations, including serving as a board member of the non-profit Camas Robotics Club, supporting STEM opportunities for young learners. I have also been an active member of the Board of Trustees for the Clark County Mosquito Control District, the Camas-Washougal Community Chest, and several City of Camas advisory boards, including the Parking Advisory, Salary Review, and Board of Adjustment committees. These roles allow me to foster positive change, strengthen our community, and create opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Beyond my career and volunteer commitments, I believe in the transformative power of education and the importance of creating a positive and supportive environment for students, educators, and families. My commitment to serving the Camas community motivates me to make a lasting impact with integrity and purpose.
